"Wow what can I say, the photos prove a lot. I first met Topsy when we worked together in the Royal Navy I can remember how much fun his fitness classes were. So after recently giving birth I decided that it was time to get fit again and loose some unwanted pounds. I had heard the Topsy had left the Navy and was personal training in the area so I gave him a call and got the ball rolling.

"I started training with Topsy when I was the heaviest I had ever been. I lacked confidence and didn't know where to start to get back to the level of fitness I wanted. I knew that I needed a goal to work towards, so I signed up for the Great South Run but I didn't have the motivation to try to lose weight and get fit on my own. I decided that a personal trainer would give me the direction I needed.
On our first session I couldn't run 200m without stopping. Through a series of regular sessions, structured towards achieving my own personal goals, I saw my fitness improve and my weight drop. "I met Topsy at the end of 2010 when he visited the breakfast networking group I go to and his go for it attitude really shone through that morning, one of my fellow networkers Ruth was had already started attending the boot camps and in the new year of 2011 I went along to my first session.
Having eaten the wrong food and not had enough water before the session my first one was a bit hazy due to nearly keeling over with the effort of actually putting my body through some exercies but I persevered and booked a block of 12 sessions right there and then
Eight months later and having gone from no exercise and an "ok" diet to a least 2 boot camps and other forms of exercise each week (jogging, zumba etc) I have now gone from 22.5 stone at Christmas to under 17 stone in October.
Still plenty more to go but the advice, inspiration and motivation that Topsy have given me first as a member of his sessions and now as a friend has inspired me to keep the changes I've made in my life on track
